Error: "Citrix XenApp could not contact the server" when using Kerberos Authentication.

Symptoms or Error

When using Kerberos authentication on a Citrix XenApp Plugin or XenApp Services site, the following message is displayed:

“Citrix XenApp could not contact the server. Please check your network connection”

If you disable Kerberos and log on manually, everything works as expected.


Solution

Solution-1

Add the FQDN of your XenApp Services server to the Local Intranet zone in Internet explorer.

Solution-2

Enter the Hostname of the Citrix XenApp Plugin server instead or the FQDN.
