EdgeSight for Endpoints 5_4,EdgeSight for XenApp 5_4
EdgeSight Agent Cannot Send Performance Data to the Server Once Port or SSL has been Changed or Enabled at EdgeSight Web Server.

Symptoms or Error

No performance data is uploaded from Citrix EdgeSight Agents to the EdgeSight Server after changing the web server port or after enabling the SSL protocol on the IIS server hosting EdgeSight Web Server role.

Various communication occurs between Citrix EdgeSight Agent and the EdgeSight Web Server.

Changes from HTTP/ HTTPs or port used at IIS server hosting the EdgeSight Web Server role affect directly to those communications.

Troubleshooting Methodology

EdgeSight Agent log all activity at a file called SYS_EVENT_TXT.txt located by default at: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Citrix\System Monitoring\Data.

When communication is broken between the two components, you can see some errors at this file, for example, performance upload launch from the EdgeSight Web Server.

SYS_EVENT_TXT.txt file contains:

Error: Unable to load the specified script file, 'http:|ZHTTP|/datasync.aspx?|ZINST|'. Detailed information can be found in the script log file. The specified resource cannot be found

Worker 101 log shows:

Configuration of the new protocol and/or EdgeSight Web Server should be made on all EdgeSight Agents.
