Symptoms
Streamed Applications are unusable with the following product versions:
- Citrix Streaming Profiler 6.0 for Windows version: 6.0.2.14
- Citrix Offline Plug-in version: 6.0.2.9
The following error message appears when starting a published streamed application from either Streamed-to-Server or Streamed-to-Client:
“Data related to your applications is corrupt. Please contact your System Administrator.”
The Event 4098, Citrix offline plug-in is logged form the client’s side, as displayed in the following screen shot:
Cause
The issue is related to the Offline Plug-in and certain characters in the naming convention of the Uniform Naming Convention (UNC) path where the profiles are stored.
The following screen shot displays the published UNC path for the streamed application from the Citrix Delivery Services Console (DSC):
These profiles are available in the UNWIN-PC7 server.
Resolution
The example in the preceding screen shot displays the letter U indicating that the issue is with the Offline Plug-in.
The issue can be resolved by completing the following tasks:
- Renaming the UNC path from \\UWIN7-PC to \\WIN7-PC rendered positive results. This also included renaming the actual server containing the profiles.
- Modify the UNC path from DNS name \\UWIN7-PC to respective IP address \\192.168.1.10, as displayed in the following screen shot:
