License file upload failed. The license manager service is not running

After upgrading or migrating VDI-in-a-Box (ViaB) to ViaB 5.3 and uploading a new license file, the following messages appear:
“License file upload failed. The license manager service is not running." and
"Error in verifying VdiManager License on server X.X.X.X: The license manager service is not running.

1. Modify the etc/hosts and etc/sysconfig/network file to default settings.
?? * Validate etc/hosts is set to the default config
?? * Validate etc/sysconfig/network has hostname=vdimgr
2. Validate and/or remove any DNS server entries in the resolve.conf file.
3. Restart VDIManager.

OR

Point the VDI Manager to the remote license server

1. Download the VDI in a box licenses from the Citrix website (External Reference Article # http://support.ctx.org.cn/CTX126167.citrix)
2. Install a Citrix license server and install licenses on?? license server (Article CTX129666 & CTX114695).
3. Make a note of the license server's IP address and the License Server Manager port number.
4. In the?? Admin?? tab of the vdiManager console click?? Grid, then?? Grid Maintenance.
5. In the License Server section, enter the IP address and port number, then click?? OK.
6. Refresh the page, then click?? About. The license server address appears in the?? About VDI-in-a-Box?? dialog box:

   

VDI-in-a-Box 5.3 License service is very sensitive to changes, especially the etc/hosts and ect/sysconfig/network file. Any updates or modification of specifying a different hostname or IP Address to the etc/hosts and ect/sysconfig/network file produces this behavior and causes the license service to not start.
