This article describes how to configure GSLB site to site MEP traffic to originate from a specific IP on NetScaler.

Objective

This article describes how to configure GSLB site to site MEP traffic to originate from a specific IP on NetScaler.

Background

Consider the following scenario where there are multiple SNIP's configured in one subnet on NetScaler. All the SNIP's in a load balanced fashion connect to the site IP of remote GSLB site. You might not want to use a firewall rule to allow all of these SNIP's to connect to the internet. In this scenario you can configure NetScaler to force the traffic to originate from just one SNIP.

Instructions

Complete the following steps to configure GSLB MEP traffic to originate from a specific IP on NetScaler:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Network > RPC Nodes and find the RPC node that represents the remote GSLB site IP.

  2. Edit the RPC node and enter the the Source IP of the SNIP that you want to act as the source of the MEP traffic only.
Complete this steps on both sides of the GSLB (the local and remote site).

  3. On both sites disable and re-enable the GSLB feature.
